We had A-Able Locksmiths install a Medeco deadbolt on our front door as well as locks on our gates and shed several years ago. At that time, we were very pleased with their service and the quality of the locks. That's why we got them again in September to replace those locks (not because they were broken, but they had gotten discolored over the years and we wanted to change the colors). Unfortunately, this time the quality was not the same. The Medeco deadbolt on the front door is fine, but the two gate locks have started showing rust/discoloration after a little more than a month. When I called and asked about it, I was told that there was a 30 day warranty (called 11/6, warranty was up 10/24) and that the brushed nickel finish would inevitably have rust and discoloration, unless I purchased a different lock with a better finish for about 2x the price. I understand that eventually rust spots will show, but a month is ridiculously short. The quality seems lacking for an outdoor lock.
